Bright Path Center is hiring: Public Relations & Marketing Volunteer in Los Ange

Bright Path, a nonprofit organization is looking for a Creative and motivated Public Relations and Marketing Volunteer. We are seeking enthusiastic self-starters who are ready to begin a career in public relations.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Draft press materials including media advisories, news releases, pitch letters or other necessary documents
• Assist in research, pitching and project coordination with external online publications and blogs
• Support with Social Media content and engagement
• Perform research on requested subjects such as media coverage, media contacts, among other items
• Help track PR efforts and media coverage by assisting with the development of coverage reports
• Analyze report to create insights that help drive marketing strategies
• Brainstorm campaign ideas, progress, and results in the team meetings
• Facilitate with event coordination
• Performs various other duties related to PR as needed

Hours per week:

• 5-8 hours per week
• Option to work remotely

Requirements

• Associates Degree (or in-progress) in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or other related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong editing skills and creativity a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a flexible work style
• Work well in a team environment but also independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Mac (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with social media analytics
• Graphic design skills is a plus

Compensation:

Experience and/or college credit provided. This is a part-time Remote position.
