Research Writing/Module Content Assistant (Remote Internship) for Youth Wellness Program- Telehealth- Remote Only- Graduate Students Preferred
The Research Assistant Intern will be responsible for supporting data research, intervention implementation and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have the drive and desire to work and grow in a telehealth start-up environment, possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and work effectively in a collaborative, diverse remote team.
Description:
Work independently to research information-based with minimum guidance
Search healthcare articles, literature reviews, reports, dissertations, journals, frameworks, tool kits, etc. and help with content creation for modules, company decks, flyers, marketing collaterals, white papers, proposals, PowerPoint/Google slides, presentations, training videos and more.
Analyze information and translate it into easy-to-understand information including the use of graphics, diagrams, tables to increase comprehension of information being presented to nurses (for training) and to students 10-22 years old (for education).
Job Responsibilities
Creation of modules, curriculum for nurses and students (10-22 years old)
Supporting data entry, data management and activities
Conducting quantitative data collection and analysis
Conducting qualitative data collection and analysis
Conducting literature reviews and analyzing/synthesizing outcomes data on topics relevant to assigned program objectives
Organizing and presenting evaluation results in the form of published reports, presentations, tables and charts
Staying current with developments within public health evaluation research and literature, practices, methods, and applications and disseminating this information to other departments (Marketing, Product, Nurse).
Assist in engaging youth and parents/caregivers
Administration of assessments
Support in intervention implementation
Assistance with preparation of IRB documentation, preliminary data reports, and other tasks as needed
Assistance with literature reviews and other study materials
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Module Program Director, Nurse Program Director and other teammates.
The following responsibilities also apply:
Knowledge of basic design and administration of questionnaires and research instruments. Ability to prepare, format, and clean research data in support of specific projects; prepare layout and format reports consistent with project specifications and stakeholder needs; research and analyze data and information; use computer applications for on-line background and literature review search; perform statistical and qualitative analyses; prepare written analysis, recommendations, and reports; communicate effectively both orally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Experience in research, study and analysis of management, budget, administrative, organizational, functional or procedural problems is a bonus.
Prepares and independently analyzes statistical data for research using statistical packages and database tools.
Researches and independently collects documents and information from various sources (government agencies, universities, libraries, Internet, non-profit research organizations, etc.) on relevant topics in support of Governance Studies scholars.
Compiles, reads, abstracts, synthesizes, analyzes, and organizes written and electronic material into summarized form.
Analyzes and produces written summaries of quantitative data.
Provides editing assistance for research products in preparation for publication.
Provides general research on a variety of short-term projects.
Updates and checks existing data and footnotes; provides fact checking, editing and proof-reading of documents in preparation for publication.
Manages the progress of various projects, including supervising and assisting interns with their contributions.
Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting & entering data; &/or preparing basic charts & graphs.
Performs scientific literature searches in support of research.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a University or with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields related to study preferred
Knowledge of research methods. Prior work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role preferred
Excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
Passionate about mental health, adolescent health and well-being, family supports, community-based research
Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
Proactive self-starter with desire to learn, grow, and be challenged
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion or currently enrolled in a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a mental health, psychology or behavioral science setting is a plus.
