Summary
Own the strategic direction, performance, and technical quality of all field service and project operations across residential home automation, AV, and security divisions. Directly manage managers and technical leaders. Drive productivity, operational consistency, and service excellence across multiple regions. Quarterly travel to SC, GA, FL, and TN with day-to-day oversight handled locally.

Core Responsibilities
• Directly manage Field Supervisors, Technical Trainers, Project Managers, and technical staff through structured check-ins, quarterly conversations, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations
• Build a high-performance management layer through coaching, accountability standards, conflict resolution, and technical leadership development
• Maintain operational consistency, stability, and quality across all residential automation, AV, and security service work, including Control4 systems
• Control service delivery, workflow, and resource allocation across regions to maximize technician productivity and schedule efficiency
• Oversee project life cycle execution to ensure timelines, budgets, and customer satisfaction standards are met
• Set and manage KPIs: productivity, job profitability, first-time fix rates, re-do rates, service efficiency, and overall technical performance
• Work with internal systems team to verify installation time standards and labor models
• Partner with sales leadership and designers on SOW accuracy to ensure correct project scoping
• Review emerging products and technologies, ensure testing, documentation, and field rollout
• Partner with Technical Trainer to define company-wide training strategy and ensure alignment with current and future technical demands
• Standardize best practices across installation and service divisions to reduce waste and elevate output quality
• Ensure field adherence to inventory, warehouse, and material-handling processes
• Equip Field Supervisors with guidance to deliver consistent on-the-job training and technical support to technicians
• Maintain accurate, updated SOPs, technical standards, and training materials
• Monitor service metrics, lead escalations, and maintain timeline discipline on all service activity
• Collaborate with scheduling teams to optimize dispatch logic, travel routes, job stacking, and labor utilization
• Provide operational reports to senior leadership covering performance, profitability, and project status
• Identify and grow future leaders within service operations
• Regular local travel and quarterly regional travel

Requirements
• Minimum 7 years progressive leadership in technical field services, systems integration, or related technical service environment
• Minimum 3 years managing managers (mandatory)
• Proven background in residential home automation, AV, or security systems; Control4 experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated capability in operational KPI management, productivity improvement, and process optimization
• Strong financial understanding of labor costs, project margin, and department-level budgeting
• Strong communication skills in performance management and cross-functional collaboration
• High proficiency with MS Office, CRM platforms, and scheduling/dispatch software
• Ability to clear background and drug screening
• High School Diploma required
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred Skills
• Industry knowledge related to residential construction, commercial AV/security, and integrated technology solutions
• Ability to influence, educate, and guide teams through operational and technical decision-making

Physical Requirements
• Regular standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and computer use
• Office-based role with frequent travel to job sites, field offices, and active construction areas
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs during inspections or hands-on support

Work Environment
• Office environment with moderate noise
• Frequent exposure to construction sites, temperature changes, dust, and active field conditions
• Frequent local travel, quarterly out-of-state travel
