EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Adjunct Instructor in Mass Communication and Journalism, with a minimum qualification of a Master's Degree (minimum 18 credit hours in Mass Communication or Journalism) in the field from an accredited institution, and commitment to teaching Mass Communication and Journalism in a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Teaching courses in the Mass Communication and Journalism degree program, especially courses in public relations and advertising, as defined by the Faculty Handbook and the current KSU Course Catalogue.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Duties including but not limited to: teaching 1-2 Mass Communication and Journalism courses in various formats including face-to-face and online modes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must submit a letter of application indicating teaching philosophy and adaptability to course modalities, graduate transcript(s), curriculum vitae, and three current letters of recommendation. Applicants will be accepted immediately until the position is filled.
- Master's Degree in Mass Communication or Journalism required; classroom teaching experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires working in an office and/or classroom setting.
