This position provides reference, basic instruction, reader's advisory services, and collection development services. General assignments include selecting and gathering library materials; enforcing library policies and procedures; responding to complaints from patrons; and ensuring safety of patrons and staff. Duties also include planning and implementing library events, classes and other activities for adults and families at one of the branch libraries; promoting and marketing library services; and preparing various informational and statistical reports and presentations. Any combination of experience equivalent to a Master of Library Science degree and one year professional library or related experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and supervisory experience are beneficial. Schedule includes weekend and evening hours. A résumé must be submitted with application.
