Preferred Qualifications
-Skilled in providing excellent library service and answering scientific and technical research requests.
-Experience with maintaining institutional repositories.
Job Specific Required Qualifications
-American Library Association-accredited Master's degree in library or information science and 1 to 3 years of professional library experience.
-Experience with providing reference and information services in person and online.
-Conducting information and digital literacy instruction for faculty, staff, and students.
-Experience in maintaining an institutional repository and an understanding of copyright law in relation to scholarly communication and electronic resources.
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience with information technology, including research databases, LibGuides, discovery systems, integrated library systems, institutional repository systems, and learning management systems.
-Serve as a library liaison for an academic department, facilitating collection building.
-Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
-Ability to be flexible and to work independently as well as in a team environment where consultation, collaboration, and cooperation are essential.
-Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
-Special Event Expectations: Participation is expected at major campus special events, such as commencement.
