Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Music or Music Education.
- Experience directing and developing a college level vocal music program.
- A Doctoral degree is preferred.
- College teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong jazz and commercial skills are desired.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teaches assigned courses, which may include Music Appreciation or other survey type courses; Music History and Literature, Music Theory/Ear Training, as well as Applied Voice.
- Assists in curriculum development, course reports, and textbook selection.
- Uses instructional technology methods when presenting course content.
- Provides written course syllabus which includes classroom policies, procedures, grading, and learning outcomes.
- Uses appropriate and up-to-date course materials, including learning objectives, texts, and supplementary teaching materials.
- Applies classroom management strategies in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online format.
- Implements student assessment policies, such as testing or observation of skills.
- Submits grades or other course assessment reports in a timely manner.
- Manages routine classroom responsibilities in a professional manner.
- Participates in activities that advance professional competencies and teaching skills.
- Engages in activities that advance the teaching discipline or profession.
- Maintains or acquires appropriate or required certifications, licensure, or other professional credentials.
- Keeps scheduled office hours as required by the respective load formula for the purpose of academic advising.
- Records student attendance as necessary.
- Attends department, division, and college-wide academic functions.
- Knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally through oral and written communications.
- Commitment to the community college mission, innovative and effective teaching, sustained and significant professional development, and service to the College, with an inclination towards recruitment.
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
