Job Description:
This position is ideal for a creative student who enjoys storytelling through photography and has a passion for documenting meaningful events on campus and in the Waco community.
Responsibilities:
• Photograph Center events, workshops, and conferences on the Baylor campus and occasionally in the local community (typically 4-6 hours per week).
• Capture candid, posed, and environmental shots that reflect inclusion, collaboration, and the spirit of the Center's work.
• Edit and organize photos for use in digital, print, and social media communications.
• Coordinate with the Media & Communications Manager to plan coverage and deliver images in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work aligns with Baylor University's brand and accessibility standards.
Qualifications
• Current Baylor University student in good academic standing.
• Experience in photography (coursework, portfolio, or relevant experience preferred).
• Strong skills in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally at events.
• Interest in inclusive storytelling or disability awareness is a plus.
Work Hours and Compensation
• Approximately 10 hours per week (hours vary by event schedule).
• Hourly rate commensurate with Baylor student employment guidelines.
• Some evening or weekend work may be required depending on event timing.
