Updated JD, per the manager: We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer (Contract) to support the development of high-quality training materials. This role will focus on creating self-paced eLearning courses, instructional videos, job aids, virtual instructor-led training (vILT) scripts, and supporting graphics.

Responsibilities include: • Designing and developing engaging self-paced learning experiences • Creating instructional videos and multimedia elements • Developing job aids and performance support materials • Writing scripts and outlines for virtual instructor-led training sessions • Designing visual assets to support learning content

Requirements: • Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate or technical environment • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and eLearning best practices • Proficiency in course authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise), video editing, and graphic design tools • Excellent writing and communication skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Additional Information:

FYI - HTML, CSS and JavaScript expertise is not critical, but more of a nice to have.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Sr. Instructional Designer (ID) is a key role within DaVita's IT Learning & Development team. The Sr. Designer works collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions that leverage a combination of learning modalities to maximize the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Sr. ID leverages instructional design techniques to author in-person, virtual, and eLearning content. This position uses their expertise to create original content. This position provides consultation on adult learning best practices and mentors junior designers in content design and development.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE:

6 to 8 years
