About CollabED CollabED is a federally recognized 501c3 nonprofit created by educators for educators. We provide an inclusive platform where teachers connect, share best practices, and support one another through mentorship, community, and professional growth. Our mission is to create accessible spaces where educators learn, collaborate, and inspire each other. Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media Specialist to help strengthen CollabED’s online presence. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, digital engagement, and supporting a mission that uplifts teachers and the larger education community. The specialist will help create content, grow our reach, and improve engagement across our active social platforms. Responsibilities • Assist in planning and scheduling posts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and our internal community platform • Create simple graphics or short videos using templates or assets we provide • Track engagement and help identify content that resonates with educators • Research trending topics in education to inform future posts • Collaborate with the Executive Director to promote events, new resources, and volunteer initiatives • Provide feedback and ideas to help improve CollabED’s digital voice Qualifications • Strong interest in social media, digital design, or communications • Ability to write clear and positive messages • Basic familiarity with Canva or similar design tools is helpful • Organized, reliable, and responsive • Passion for education, nonprofit work, or community building • No professional experience required.
