POSITION: Adjunct Faculty Pool - Art and Design History
SALARY: Per credit rate: 1-12 semesters: $1975, 13 semesters: $2050
The Art Department at New Jersey City University is seeking an adjunct instructor with experience teaching History of Graphic Design.
New Jersey City University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty Pool in the Department of Art.
Adjunct faculty typically teach up to two courses per semester in a 3-hour block that meet once per week. Classes meet mornings or evenings to permit some flexible scheduling for adjunct courses. Option to teach this course online is also available.
Duties include the following:
• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students within a Graphic Design curriculum.
• Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi meet Department and College standards.
• Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments.
• Providing regular and timely feedback to students and supervisors to promote student success.
• Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues and nurture inclusive classrooms.
• Submitting grades in a timely manner.

EDUCATION:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master's Degree in Art, Design, or Art History; preference may be given to candidates with a PhD in Art or Design History.
