About The Position:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at SUNY Plattsburgh invites applications from qualified speech-language pathologists for part time employment as clinical supervisors and/or instructors for various undergraduate or graduate courses. Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in teaching in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education. They will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues, as SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world. The vita bank exists to provide a pool of candidates who might be available to fill anticipated positions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
SLP Clinical Supervisor positions: must hold an appropriate M.A. degree, the CCC-SLP, and NYS licensure or eligibility for such. SLP Instructing positions: must hold a master's degree or higher, and have course work in relevant content areas. ASL Instructing positions: expertise with American Sign Language. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical Supervisor positions: A minimum of three years experience supervising graduate SLP students. Instructing positions: Experience as an instructor.
