Position Highlights

The University of Arizona's Department of Communication invites applications for a career-track Assistant Professor of Practice position in Public Relations (PR). The preferred start date is Fall 2026 but Spring 2026 will be considered. We seek candidates who will contribute to the department's teaching mission in the new PR Major and the existing PR Minor. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both introductory and advanced PR classes, such as PR Writing, Social Media Strategy and PR Management. Successful candidates will have training and experience in the instruction of Public Relations. This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure. click here . Duties & Responsibilities We seek candidates who will contribute to the department's teaching mission in the new PR Major (launching Fall 2026) and the existing PR Minor.

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in the field of PR or related discipline. Evidence of teaching excellence, or strong industry experience. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing PR classes and/or curriculum design. Experience and desire to work with student professional organizations. Mentoring experience. Training and experience in the instruction of Public Relations.
