MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Preference given to Certified Teaching staff. MAJOR DUTIES
Assists Director with the following duties: Understand production aspects of putting on a musical/drama and its constraints, scheduling, acting, singing, orchestra and choreography, rehearsals, set and prop construction, publicity and costumes; Offer considerate constructive criticism to students when evaluating performances; Demonstrate and teach appropriate vocal techniques when portraying characters, including projection, rate and tone quality; Be familiar with various lighting, sound and stage rigging equipment procedures; Create rehearsal schedules; Communicate with other production staff, including stage manager and music director, as directed; Stay in communication with students, parents, teaching staff and administrators; Set deadlines for returning all items, tickets or money, or both; Understand and implement district protocol for student-led club meetings and fundraising; Attend required financial training regarding monetary responsibilities for advising and directing a club.
