About the role
Seeking a mid-level Instructional Designer to join our team onsite in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate will design and develop innovative educational materials to support the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Application Multimedia Support project. This role involves applying instructional design methodologies, integrating advanced technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance IT application support training for CBP personnel.
Job Responsibilities
Apply ADDIE Instructional Systems Design methodology to analyze training needs and develop learning objectives. Create instructional materials, including briefings, reference guides, online help, simulations, and IT demonstrations. Integrate advanced technologies such as gamification, avatars, animations, 3D modeling, and VR into learning solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile principles and tools like JIRA and Confluence. Continuously assess and update instructional content to keep pace with technological advancements. Recommend and implement learning strategies aligned with CBP goals. Develop web-based learning modules to support self-paced learning for CBP personnel. Required skills

U.S. Active CBP Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field. Proven experience in instructional design for IT application support services. Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Confluence. Proficiency in eLearning design tools, including Adobe Captivate. Strong creativity and innovation in developing engaging learning materials. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to work onsite in Ashburn, VA. Ability to regularly update instructional content based on feedback and evolving requirements. 2-3 days onsite per week are required.
