The School of Music at Baylor University seeks an engaging and collaborative educator who can excel at teaching undergraduate and graduate trombone students. This full-time, tenure-track appointment will begin August 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach applied trombone at the undergraduate and graduate levels Teach weekly studio classes; conduct the Trombone Choir Lead weekly chamber music coachings Teach trombone methods course for music education majors Present solo recitals and collaborative performances with faculty Maintain active involvement in the Brass Area's recruiting efforts and auditions Team-teach Brass Literature and Pedagogy course (biannually) Participate in School of Music and University service as appropriate Engage in significant professional and creative activities and/or research within the discipline, and contribute to the intellectual life and mission of Baylor University and the School of Music RANK AND SALARY

Qualifications
Master of Music degree required; Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred. Teaching experience at the university level is required; preference may be given to candidates with a proven record of recruitment and student success. Documented and sustained levels of professional performance experience is required. All School of Music faculty are expected to demonstrate commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for our students. Application Instructions
