Vice President of Product Marketing (San Diego or Bay Area, CA)
This role is part of SoftEye’s global AR ecosystem expansion. The VP of Product Marketing will define the AR platform narrative, shape multi‑year go‑to‑market strategy, and drive global adoption of our augmented reality (AR) technologies across enterprise and OEM partners.
Location:
San Diego or Bay Area, CA (Remote possible)
Base Pay:
$250,000 – $300,000 per year plus equity and performance incentives.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and evolve company‑wide AR product marketing strategy aligned to corporate and product priorities.
Own the AR platform narrative and category point‑of‑view, shaping market perception across perception systems, displays, sensors, and system software.
Lead global go‑to‑market strategy for AR system software releases, perception capabilities, display innovations, and developer tools.
Develop differentiated messaging and positioning for AR platform, system software, and ecosystem offerings.
Translate complex AR architecture and hardware‑software integrations into clear value propositions for enterprises, OEMs, and developers.
Drive executive‑level alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions, and Business Development for AR roadmap and narrative.
Oversee creation of high‑impact AR content including messaging frameworks, solution briefs, and sales materials.
Establish scalable launch frameworks and AR‑focused sales enablement playbooks.
Lead AR ecosystem storytelling, influencing analysts, partners, and strategic collaborators.
Serve as a primary executive spokesperson in customer briefings, industry events, and partner engagements.
Build and lead a world‑class AR product marketing organization.
Establish AR‑focused market, ecosystem, and competitive intelligence programs.
Provide insight‑driven recommendations to influence AR roadmap direction.
Scale AR platform adoption across enterprise and OEM partners.
Drive operational rigor and cross‑functional execution ensuring consistent AR messaging and processes.
Qualifications:
10–15+ years in Product Marketing, Product Management, Strategic Marketing, or Ecosystem Development.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent AR systems experience.
Deep understanding of AR hardware, optical systems, perception stacks, OS layers, middleware, and SDKs.
Proven success positioning and launching AR platforms or developer‑facing AR technologies.
Strong leadership experience in fast‑paced environments.
Exceptional communication, strategic storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or graduate‑level technical degree.
Background in AR/XR, spatial computing, near‑eye displays, system software stacks, embedded platforms, or edge AI.
Experience representing AR technology platforms to executive audiences.Prior success building or scaling a PMM function.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual base salary range: $250,000–$300,000.
