Join a highly collaborative engineering team as a
PCB Layout Designer (ECAD) , where you will play a key role in developing advanced printed circuit board designs supporting critical programs. You'll work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to transform complex technical requirements into accurate, manufacturable PCB layouts using industry-leading design tools.
Representative Duties & Tasks
Execute
detailed PCB layout design and documentation
based on direction from electrical and mechanical engineering teams Interpret and work from
schematics, part lists, board-level constraints, and functional descriptions Utilize the
Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite , including: • Xpedition Layout • Valor • DRC Hazard Checker • Constraint Editor/Manager (CES) • Drawing Editor and related ECAD tools Create and maintain
library symbols, footprints, geometry, and related ECAD assets Run
Valor and DRC Hazard checks
to ensure manufacturability, compliance, and error-free performance Review drawings for
accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards Collaborate with engineers to refine board architecture, optimize routing, and meet electrical/mechanical constraints Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
The strongest candidates possess:
Extensive experience designing
HDI and high-speed PCB/printed wiring boards Deep familiarity with
MIL and IPC standards Advanced proficiency using
Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools , including Valor and CES A strong sense of ownership, pride in workmanship, and a
team-oriented, collaborative mindset Proven ability to deliver accurate designs that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturing requirements Workplace Options
