We are seeking a highly skilled
Xpedition Library Contractor
to support a 1-year contract focused on delivering accurate, high-quality CAD component models. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in precision-driven environments, enjoys collaborating across teams, and brings deep experience with Mentor Xpedition EDM Library.
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to create and maintain accurate electronic component models within CAD systems, following established company standards, guidelines, and engineering best practices. This work directly supports schematic design, PCB layout accuracy, and data integrity across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Create accurate component models in electronic CAD systems in alignment with organizational standards. Develop and maintain CAD symbols and models used for schematic design and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts. Load and verify all required attribute data into enterprise systems. Interpret and apply component drawings, datasheets, and specifications to produce precise schematic symbols, PCB footprint models, and land patterns. Perform thorough self-checks to validate compliance with part requirements, documentation, and modeling guidelines. Navigate computer directory structures and manage files effectively within a Windows environment. Apply strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of electronic functions, and solid math/geometry fundamentals to modeling tasks. Ensure all CAD symbols and models meet customer and engineering requirements to support fabrication, assembly, and testing of circuit card assemblies. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, gather missing information, and maintain strong working relationships. Utilize reference materials and standards to support accurate decision-making.
