Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Training and Quality team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver engaging educational content that supports staff training, professional development, and organizational excellence across our Patient Access Operations org within the healthcare system.

As an Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, clinicians, and operational leaders to translate complex healthcare processes into clear, effective learning experiences. You will leverage adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and modern technologies to create training materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, job aids, and multimedia content. The focus of this role is on building the training, you will partner with a team of Facilitators responsible for delivering the training.

This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about improving learning outcomes, have strong communication and design skills, and thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. While this is a remote position, this team does participate in local onsite career development workshops roughly once every other month presently, we are seeking a local candidate for this opportunity for this reason.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply concepts of adult learning theory to design impactful learning experiences for various delivery environments (in-person, virtual, e-learning, blended)

Choose appropriate instructional strategies and content modalities to accomplish specific performance objectives

Create customized training, manage tip sheets, and create knowledge base articles.

Utilize learning and/or design software tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Canva) to translate content needs into realistic creative briefs

Create high-quality instructional materials such as e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT) and facilitator guides, manuals, job aids, and multimedia content

Devise modes of assessment to measure effectiveness of learning programs

Project Management:

Manage multiple priorities and deliver on-time results

Document project progress in project management tool

Deliver high quality solutions quickly, adapt, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback and content performance

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate and build trust with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and more to ensure accuracy and relevance of materials

Partner with internal teams to identify critical knowledge gaps and opportunities for process improvement

Champion the adoption of training and knowledge tools and practices across the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Articulate Rise or Articulate Storyline experience

Canva experience

Asana Project Management tool

LMS administration tool such as rise.com or Brainier

Epic workflow experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; three years experience in e-learning and blended learning development.

Seasoned experience with learning management systems is required.

Healthcare experience a plus.
