Job Summary
Oversee all technical aspects of Theatre courses and productions. Embody Tulsa Community College's mission, vision, beliefs and values to ensure student learning and build an educated, employed, and thriving community. This position is an 11-month, fulltime faculty with 9 reassigned hours to oversee and design. To begin January 2026. Essential Duties
Oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of TCC Theatre productions including budget, safety, quality, and process.
Design three (3) elements for each of the four productions during the school year and 3 elements for Tulsa Children's Summer Theatre. If student designers are selected, this position is responsible for mentoring and overseeing students designs.
Work closely with Scene Shop Supervisor to ensure all props, sets and set pieces are designed and built with cost and safety as top priorities.
Recruit and retain technical theatre students for program expansion.
Teach 6 credit hours and maintain office hours per the faculty handbook.
Engage in successful pedagogical practices that cultivate respect and understanding of individual differences.
Design and deliver student learning experiences and assess student progress.
Provide constructive and timely communication with students and colleagues.
Guide and mentor students in and outside the classroom to promote their success.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote learning and professional growth.
Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.
Serve the college and community as an active contributing professional. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Technical Theatre or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
Three years design experience in multiple aspects of theatre. Experience in developing, facilitating, and assessing learning experiences. Preferred Qualifications
