Teacher of the Visually Impaired Instructors are expected to: • Have ability to work with a diverse population of students. • Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. • Collaborate and consult with school organizations, community organizations, therapists, doctors, colleagues, parents regarding recommendations, modifications, and provide resources to meet student learning needs. • Instruct students in Braille code. • Perform Functional Visual Evaluations and Learning Media Assessments. • Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders. • Record and report student progress.
