Job Summary

We are looking for private instructors in voice, woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar, piano, and percussion. As applicable, private instructors may also have the opportunity to instruct class piano, small ensembles within their area of expertise, or face-to-face and online Music Appreciation. Teach credit Music course.

Required Qualifications Master's degree in Music With sufficient experience, a baccalaureate degree may be sufficient for private instruction Preferred Qualifications

Professional performance experience Experience as an individual and collaborative performer Studio or classroom experience as appropriate Essential Functions

Teach in the classroom and/or online Manage the classroom and meet deadlines Physical Demands

Must be able to lift or move up to 20 pounds Use of manual dexterity Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation The person in this position frequently communicates with others verbally and electronically; must be able to exchange accurate information Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Security Sensitivity

All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.

Min Salary $560.00 per lab hour

Max Salary $825.00 per lecture hour
