Overview
Snyder & Associates has an immediate opening in our Council Bluffs, Iowa office for a CAD Technician to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil, transportation, municipal and utilities engineering projects.
Responsibilities
This position will be involved on a daily basis with creating the detailed drawings and construction plans for civil engineering projects that include wind farms, roads, airports, site planning, municipal, underground utilities and stormwater drainage.
Qualifications
Prior experience with civil engineering projects in transportation, utility and/or land development design is preferred Prior experience in the clean-up of topographic survey downloads a plus. Associate's Degree in CAD or Certificate in Drafting, or an acceptable level of CAD training with previous on-the-job experience. Knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak or AutoCAD strongly preferred Experience with ArcView a plus Strong analytical and problem solving skills Reliable worker with self-starter qualities Able to work in teams and as an individual contributor Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
