Zachry Group is searching for an Audio Visual Design Architect to join the home office in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities Performs high-level equipment planning, design, and optimization. Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Evaluates current and emerging technology and works with equipment vendors to deploy solutions to meet organizational needs. Performs site surveys of locations that require audio-visual solutions. Gathers business requirements from customers on solution needs. Translates business requirements into audio/visual or process designs. Plans and recommends hardware, systems management software and architecture. Approves and modifies audio-visual design and architecture to ensure compliance. Works closely with internal customers, vendors, other technology employees, and audio-visual technicians to deliver solutions. Works closely with facilities personnel for the cabling, power and mounting of equipment. Works closely with Enterprise Technology Services personnel on the integration of audio-visual equipment with other IT systems. Delivers, sets up, manages and maintains the technical equipment associated with live events, demonstrations, training and one-time venue locations. Oversees the technical planning, availability and logistics of equipment supporting organization meetings and special events. Assemble, transport, operate and repair any equipment used during events. Provide support for live presentations, distance learning and webinar programs. May also provide visual graphics, audio tracks and lighting for live events. Advises speakers and presenters on audio-visual equipment usage and limits. Under general direction, assists in audio-visual productions by working with event coordinators as directed. Configures and maintains equipment Performs troubleshooting procedures and designs resolution procedures. Monitors equipment performance. Teach others to operate the equipment and document events and presentations that are being offered. Responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the work of lower-level audio-visual or helpdesk technicians. Maintain an inventory of equipment the organization owns. Manages accountability for audio/visual equipment assets. Ensures capacity planning is performed. Communicates with managers, service providers and internal customers on solution status. Coordinates the ordering and receiving of equipment with vendors Coordinates the installation, repair, and removal of equipment with customers and service providers. Equipment used

Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED 1- 3 years of AV installation experience Preferred
3-5 years of AV installation experience in corporate environment
Physical demands
An employee in this role will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, and through email and will be required to view a computer monitor for long periods of time with breaks in-between. Carrying, lifting or moving objects up to 25lbs safely may also be required. An employee in this role should be capable of operating and functioning in an office-based work environment and may occasionally be required to visit job sites or other office locations.
