This role will be part of a newly formed team encompassing Employer Brand, Employee Experience, and Social Impact. The Employer Brand & Employee Experience division operates within the People department, with a mission to foster an engaging global culture and establish an enduring reputation for Braze as a great place to work. An employee-led culture guides the team’s approach, ensuring alignment with our six core values. The team thinks globally while acting locally to ensure that our programming is contextual, practical, and considerate of local needs.
The Social Impact department amplifies employee passions, invests in our communities, and accelerates science-based climate solutions. This department oversees the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Climate programs and manages the company’s donor-advised fund, which is part of Braze’s commitment to donate 1% of equity over a 10-year period (we are currently in year four of ten).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
At Braze, Employee Communications is a new function dedicated to fostering a positive work environment, facilitating employee engagement, and building trust in the business from an employee’s perspective. We believe that a cohesive and well-executed employee communication strategy is critical to supporting our overall employee experience and our long-term business objectives, including achieving $1B in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, leaders, and our internal communications team in Marketing. You will also partner with our employer brand and employee experience teams to create a leading culture and work environment that drives our business success. This is a global role, and you will work with regional leaders to support and enable their respective employee communications plans. The position will report to the VP of Social Impact and will be based in New York City.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and disseminate content across multiple channels in ways that lead to a more engaged and productive work environment
Lead and support company-wide and department change management initiatives, ensuring employees feel seen, heard and supported
Partner with various stakeholders and teams to create and execute successful employee communications strategies, while using data and analytics to optimize performance and processes
Work with regional leaders to enable and support region-specific employee communications, such as organizational changes and new or evolving programs
Support Employer Brand and Employee Experience initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys and external employer sentiment programs
WHO YOU ARE
Excellent writer and editor with experience in employee communications, internal communications, and/or communications at high-growth and globally distributed companies
Solutions-oriented professional who is comfortable navigating difficult or uncertain situations and environments
Strategic thinker who can consider multiple points of view and deliver communications that resonate with all employees –ranging from leadership to new hires
Relationship builder who facilitates work cross-functionally and can become a go-to resource for various leaders and teams
The ability to organize and juggle multiple, demanding tasks with accuracy and prioritize competing projects
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,000 and $115,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $110,000 and $130,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
