Position Summary TCW is a leading global asset management firm with more than five decades of investment experience and a broad range of products across fixed income, equities, emerging markets, and alternative investments. TCW’s clients include many of the world’s largest corporate and public pension plans, financial institutions, endowments and foundations, as well as financial advisors and high net worth individuals.

The Marketing Automation & Data marketer plays a central role in powering TCW’s digital client marketing ecosystem. This leader owns the strategy, implementation, and optimization of marketing automation workflows, data pipelines, and performance analytics that support institutional, intermediary, and advisor audiences.

This individual brings deep expertise in HubSpot, CRM connectivity, marketing data governance, and analytics—combined with a strong understanding of the asset management landscape and how digital engagement contributes to client experience, acquisition, and retention.

This role acts as a connector across marketing, distribution, digital, and content teams.

Essential Duties Strategy & Enablement:

Develop and execute TCW’s marketing automation roadmap to enhance engagement and campaign efficiency across audiences and digital properties.

Serve as the primary owner of HubSpot, translating marketing best practices into business requirements across system architecture, segmentation strategy, integrations, workflow automation, and governance.

Partner with IT and marketing stakeholders to align automation workflows with content, digital, and event activation strategies.

Collaborate closely with IT, Distribution and CRM teams to ensure bi-directional data flows that support sales alignment, outreach prioritization, and client engagement objectives.

Implement governance frameworks for data integrity, privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and marketing data standards across channels.

Act as a marketing operations leader supporting client marketing programs across audiences, asset classes, and geographies.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

Design emails, write copy, and deploy automated workflows and journeys (nurture, content-triggered sequences, event follow-ups) that improve lead quality and client experience.

Optimize campaign performance through A/B testing, segmentation refinement, automation scoring logic, and behavioral targeting.

Build, manage, and evolve lead-scoring and routing models to ensure marketing-qualified leads reach the right channels in Distribution.

Strengthen digital client experience journeys by integrating web triggers, content consumption behavior, and CRM data.

Support multichannel execution by providing automation frameworks that align with TCW’s broader digital marketing and client engagement strategies.

Ensure alignment with brand, compliance, and regulatory requirements across all automated client touchpoints.

Data, Integration and Feedback:

Be the liaison between Marketing, IT, CRM, and Data teams to ensure clean, accurate, connected marketing datasets.

Manage integrations between HubSpot, CRM systems, analytics platforms, and other MarTech tools.

Develop dashboards that visualize performance across channels, campaigns, audiences, and content consumption patterns.

Establish ongoing feedback loops to enable the Content Strategy team to turn engagement trends into insights that guide future content themes, formats, SEO opportunities, and distribution choices.

Analytics & Reporting:

Define and track KPIs tied to engagement, conversion, client journey progression, and pipeline contribution.

Partner with stakeholders to produce monthly and quarterly reporting that connects marketing activity to commercial impact.

Translate analytics into clear tactical recommendations that guide editorial direction, campaign timing, and segmentation strategy.

Provide insights that strengthen client experience initiatives, aligning with Marketing and enterprise priorities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of five years of experience in marketing automation, marketing data analytics, or marketing operations—preferably in financial services or asset management.

Expert-level proficiency in HubSpot (required); experience with CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce) strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of digital client journeys across institutional, intermediary, and advisor audiences.

Hands-on experience with segmentation, behavioral triggers, lead-scoring, and workflow design.

Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insight.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across marketing, distribution, and digital teams.

Highly organized, collaborative, proactive, and comfortable owning end-to-end processes.

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary:

For an NY based position, the base salary range is $115K - 130K. This is an anticipated range for the base salary only.

Other Compensation:

Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
