We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Web Developer looking to play a critical role in building robust, high-quality web solutions that drive our clients' businesses forward.
Overview You will be expected to be fluent in HTML and CSS with good working knowledge and experience with jQuery/JS/PHP, practicing relevant coding practices. Knowledge of Elementor and visual builders, custom WordPress theme/plugin development, and experience coding HTML emails is a plus. The James Agency is looking for passionate people driven to do the best work possible in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with designers, copywriters, and project managers to implement website features and ensure a seamless user experience
Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
Perform thorough testing and debugging of WordPress sites to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices
Optimize website performance, including page load times and overall user experience
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development or after deployment
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and WordPress updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in a related major or relevant job experience
2+ years experience
Proficiency in WordPress
Experience with Elementor and other visual builders
Ability to cleanly code and customize HTML, CSS, jQuery/JS, and PHP
Responsive design and coding
Detailed understanding of cross-browser support issues
Knowledge of Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience with wireframing tools such as Figma
Ability to optimize and prepare assets for web
Ability to translate approved designs for other page layouts
Excellent communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires a fast learner and flexible thinker
Desire and ability to learn processes and protocols of the agency
Works well in a team environment (you have to be cool)
Bonus Skills
Creative eye for design
Experience coding and cross-testing HTML emails
Experience with GTM and Google Analytics set up
