Job Description:
The Executive Collaboration Service (ECS) provides technical consultancy, digital capabilities, and strategic support to the senior leaders of the global Mars organization. ECS enables executive leadership organizational goals by developing and enhancing their digital productivity and global communication engagements increasing overall executive effectiveness.
ECS Broadcast and Production Events Technical Operations Lead Will be based full-time at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VA (MVA) where the team supports the C‑Suite leadership team and Board of Directors.
This role will implement, maintain, and drive continuous improvement opportunities for local and globally distributed technologies supporting executive-focused services including broadcasting, leadership events/summits, high‑profile meeting room video conferencing and other office digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operationalize technical solutions for live corporate broadcasts and special production events (on‑site, remote, hybrid) including live monitoring, audio video backhaul/routing/switching, presenter contribution, recording, streaming, and redundancy/failover components.
Act as a lead technical authority during broadcasts and events to proactively monitor the end‑to‑end signal flow; execute failover options as necessary. Provide clear situational communication during live incidents; tailor technical translation for executive and non‑technical stakeholders as appropriate.
Define and execute technical readiness standards, checklists, and failover procedures for all live productions ensuring technical resiliency. Maintain, test, and continuously refine disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Manage and execute the design, deployment, proactive maintenance and lifecycle management of on‑premise and cloud‑based broadcast AV/IT infrastructure (firmware/OS patching/application update lifecycle, configuration management, redundancy and high availability strategies, facility cabling, equipment refresh cycles etc.)
Configure, monitor, and support hybrid enterprise broadcast AV networks across several global locations and cloud.
Align infrastructure roadmap across several on‑premise locations and cloud with a focus on remote production workflows that ensure reliability and scalability.
Implement automation and infrastructure/configuration‑as‑code practices for repeatable deployments, configuration baselining, version control, and change governance.
Partner with Information Security to ensure technical solutions meet all policy and governance requirements including: implementation of security solutions (monitoring/detection), network segmentation, credential governance and access controls, patch/vulnerability management, and secure network connectivity/monitoring.
Manage OPEX/CAPEX planning and budget execution for broadcast & IT operations; build business cases for resilience, modernization, and automation initiatives.
Track utilization and optimize spend across cloud resources, licensing, support agreements, and hardware lifecycles.
Develop and maintain ITSM‑aligned practices tailored to real‑time broadcast and special event operations; partner with internal and external IT support functions to enable success.
Embed continuous improvement loops: root cause eradication, automation efficiencies, and technical debt reduction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcast Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant technical certifications: AWS/Azure, ITIL, Dante, SMPTE, NDI, CTS, Security+/CISSP, Network+ or similar
5+ years in broadcast engineering, media technology, or large‑scale live event technical operations
Progressive responsibility spanning broadcast technologies, cloud integration, and live event escalation support. Signal chain engineering for baseband and IP audio/video workflows.
Direct involvement in designing, commissioning, and scaling broadcast infrastructure (facility builds, control room and studio design, cloud and remote production enablement).
Experience with remote/REMI production architectures, virtual production, and cloud‑based switching environments.
Capable of handling equipment installation and maintenance tasks (rack equipment install/removal, cabling) as needed.
High judgment under pressure; calm decision‑making in live broadcast or major incident scenarios.
Experience managing IT Security in mixed media/AV IT environments
Knowledge and experience in IT Service Management methodologies (eg. ITIL). Incident lifecycle management (detection, triage, impact assessment, communication, root cause eradication).
Organizationally savvy and adept at leveraging global people networks to mobilize resources and deliver complex initiatives.
Strong proficiency in the design and support of audio‑visual technologies utilized in corporate meeting spaces (including hybrid meeting scenarios and adhoc event‑based deployments).
Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft 365 productivity platform (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CoPilot).

Media transport and streaming: SRT, Zixi, HLS, DASH, RTMP, WebRTC.

Systems fundamentals: Windows/Mac/Linux administration, identity integration (AD/SSO), foundational database management.
