Civil Designer - Richmond, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, VA

VHB is seeking a Civil Designer for our Mid-Atlantic Energy Evolution Practice | VHB. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in the energy sector. Responsibilities

Workwithin a team of professionals to develop civil engineering plans and specifications for Energy and Land Development projects.

Performfield work either alone or in pairs to collect data, record measurements and site photos/videos.

Perform analysis of data.

Draftplans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Assist in the preparation of land entitlement and permitting documents.

Develop reports presenting design calculations.

Skills and Attributes

Excellentverbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Teamoriented with capability to work independently.

Ability to perform engineering tasks in coordination with the project team on integrating the design and developing deliverables.

Strong computer skills with experience or exposure to AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.

Experience or exposure working with PondPack, HydroCAD, StormCAD, AutoCAD S&S Analysis or similar stormwater design software

Self-motivated, ability to think critically and attention to detail.

Qualifications

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree

1-3+ years of land development and/or civil engineering experience

Prior land development design experience (erosion control, stormwater management and site grading) preferred

EIT preferred
