Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 5 years work experience with a Master’s degree).
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in a related quantitative field.
8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems.
Experience working autonomously and acting as a product owner for global teams.
Experience in an interdisciplinary/cross‑functional field with an interest in data, metrics, analysis and trends.
Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations and excellent communication skills.
About the job The Android and Business Communication (ABC) Data Science team’s mission is to power ABC product decisions with Data Science. In this role you will help serve Google Messages worldwide user base of over 2 billion people, providing quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to partners throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and implement dashboards, presentations, and methodologies partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
Serve as an analytics expert, using data to drive better decisions for Engineering and Product Management.
Weave stories with meaningful insight from data, making critical recommendations for fellow Googlers.
Use investigative and statistical tools to tally numbers and communicate findings to team leaders.
