Job Title: Associate Packaging Designer (On Site Position- 34 St Herald Square)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-driven Associate Packaging Designer to support the full lifecycle of trim and packaging development across Ground Up’s diverse brand portfolio. This role blends creativity with precision: researching trends, conceptualizing trim solutions, preparing technical specifications, and partnering closely with Product Development and factory teams to bring designs from sketch to shelf.

The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for materials, branding, and function, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where ideas move quickly from concept to production. This position plays a key role in shaping the visual identity, quality, and innovation behind our trims and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end design functions, market research, overseeing trims and graphics, and collaboration with teams.

Support in seasonal trim/packaging sourcing, research and concepting.

Meticulously maintain seasonal trim and packaging libraries.

Create and maintain design renderings, orthographic drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear communication for internal teams and overseas vendors.

Collaborate with product development teams and manufacturing partners to refine designs, ensuring quality, feasibility, and adherence to brand standards.

Conduct market and trend research to identify new product opportunities and stay informed of competitive offerings.

Develop and review 3D models and renderings (Rhino, KeyShot) to visualize design concepts and communicate intent effectively.

Support prototype development, including building mock-ups, reviewing samples, and providing feedback to vendors for design refinement.

Support the design team with factory coordination of developments and in-stock trim needs in relation to the Design calendar.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Accessories, Packaging Design, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in trims, footwear, accessories, or product design (internships acceptable).

Experience in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is advantageous.

Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, design trends, and industry developments.
