Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor - Biology/Communication Sciences at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

The Departments of Biological Sciences andCommunication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University inviteapplications for a joint full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positionbeginning August 18, 2026. We seek a scholar who will teach effectively and leadan innovative, externally funded research program in hearing and/oraudiological sciences, usinghuman or animal models.

Researchprograms that foster collaboration between the Departments of BiologicalSciences and Communication Sciences and Disorders are prioritized. Areas thatcomplement our existing research in neuroscience and bench-to-bedsideapproaches are particularly welcome.

Qualifications:

PhD in Biological Sciences, Auditory/Audiological Sciences,or related field (required)

Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and effective undergraduateand graduate teaching
