Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as an Authorization and Referral Specialist at Family Eye Physicians located in Oak Brook Terrace, IL. Team member will be responsible for obtaining day-to-day prior authorizations and referrals to ensure services provided are authorized prior to start of care.
Qualifications
Communication and Customer Service skills
Experience in obtaining medical Prior Authorizations and Referrals
Knowledge of Insurance verification
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
Detail-oriented and organized
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
Experience in ophthalmology or healthcare is a plus
High School diploma or Associates Degree (preferred)
Knowledge of Practice Plus / Nextech EMR
