Part‑time Adjunct Faculty Pool Part‑time Adjunct Faculty assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. If the department does not have an immediate need to add candidates to their pool, applications remain in queue until the need arises or for one year in active status.

Job Duties
Provide in‑person and online reference assistance and research consultation to students, faculty, and staff at the Ask a Librarian desk, including one‑on‑one appointments, at all three sites (Visalia, Hanford, and/or Tulare).
Teach library instruction sessions and facilitate library orientations.
Teach or co‑teach library workshops.
Engage in collection management duties (e.g., weeding, purchasing, and evaluating collections in one or more subject areas).
Act as library liaison for one or more subject areas.
Assist teaching faculty in locating academic resources, including Open Educational Resources (OER).
Create and update online resources (e.g., research guides and websites).
Promote library resources, services, and outreach efforts to the campus community.
Has the opportunity to teach credit‑bearing library courses.
Qualifications
Earned MLS (MLIS) degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution OR equivalent.
Minimum qualifications for all disciplines can be found within "Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges".
