Contract Hourly Praise and Worship Sound Engineer

Goodlettsville Church is seeking a reliable and skilled Sound Engineer to support our weekly worship services on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for audio engineering students or emerging professionals looking to build a portfolio or their professional network.

Schedule

This position requires approximately 4 hours per week, with a total compensation of $100/week.

  • Wednesdays: 1 hour (evening, variable by week) for P&W rehearsal.
  • Sundays: 3 hours (morning, 8AM to 11AM) for sound check and service.
  • Operate and manage our Behringer X32 digital mixer during services and rehearsals.
  • Assist with microphone setup, placement, and sound checks before services.
  • Actively monitor and adjust audio levels to ensure a clear, high-quality worship experience.
  • Identify and troubleshoot audio signal issues, feedback, and other technical difficulties.

Qualifications

  • Training or experience running live sound, preferably in a worship setting.
  • A good ear for music and spoken word mixing.
  • Punctual, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving.
