Day to Day
Identify opportunities and create solutions that help job seekers and employers manage their accounts and integrations. Work with cross-functional peers to align on team priorities and pursue opportunities to improve the job seeker experience across Indeed's suite of products. Support projects that serve both job seekers and employers, ensuring that the resulting solutions are intuitive, accessible, and scalable. Employ a data-driven design approach, regularly testing improvements with millions of users, iterating quickly, and making incremental enhancements based on observed results. Collaborate effectively with co-located and globally distributed teams to ensure coordinated efforts and unified product development. Design and launch experimental products, pioneering ideas and assessing their viability through launches and empirical learning. Work with multi-disciplinary product teams to identify solutions for validating ideas, while consistently advocating for the end user. Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define the vision for the team's product and ensure seamless and continuous development and deployment. Conduct user research to integrate the user's voice into the design process, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied. Produce compelling User Experience (UX) solutions for early-stage products, leveraging Indeed's design system to balance best-in-class solutions with speed-to-market. Audit key user journeys and analyze data and user feedback to gain expertise in the end-to-end experience. Create production-ready assets and work closely with engineering teams to execute on the vision. Participate in road-mapping exercises with partner teams to break down the experience vision into an iterative roadmap. Validate designs through A/B testing (working with product management) and/or through qualitative user research (either personally or in collaboration with a UX Researcher). Mentor mid- and associate-level Designers, fostering professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
Position is in Austin, Texas. Up to 100% Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.

Salary Range: $135,013 - $170,000

- 5 years of professional product design experience
- 5 years of experience in interaction design
- 2 years of experience conducting generative and evaluative UX research
- 2 years of experience using interaction design/prototyping tools, including Sketch, Principle, Figma, InVision, or Adobe Creative Suite
- 2 years of experience organizing and facilitating design workshops
- 2 years of experience leveraging research and data to support design recommendations
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product, and Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in mobile and responsive design
- A portfolio that demonstrates experience designing modern user interfaces (UIs) and interactions
