About the Role
At DramaBox, the Creative Executive is at the front line of story discovery and evaluation. Youll help identify promising ideas, refine pitches, and support the transition of projects into development. This role combines sharp creative instincts with market awareness, ensuring only the strongest concepts move forward in our slate of fast-paced, emotionally charged vertical dramas.
What Youll Do Evaluate pitches, scripts, and IP submissions to identify strong creative opportunities. Provide early story feedback on structure, characters, and themes. Research trends and genre performance across platforms to inform development choices. Support the Development Executives and Head of Development in shaping slate balance and long-term content strategy. Build and maintain relationships with external creators, agents, and IP partners. Partner closely with Development Executives to ensure smooth project handoffs into active development.
Who You Are 3+ years of experience in scripted development, creative evaluation, or story strategyexperience in digital-first, serialized, or short-form formats is a plus. Strong story instincts: able to quickly recognize compelling hooks, genre engines, and character-driven ideas. Passionate about genre-forward storytellingromance, fantasy, thriller, melodrama, supernaturaland curious about narrative possibilities in ultra-short runtimes. Analytical and trend-savvy, with the ability to translate data and market movements into creative insights. Highly collaborative and communicative, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment across creative and strategic teams.
