Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with deep telecommunications industry expertise to lead complex, enterprise-scale software development initiatives in cloud environments. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, business savvy, and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities to drive transformational projects from conception through delivery. The ideal candidate will serve as the critical bridge between technical teams and business leadership, translating complex technical concepts into strategic business value while navigating the unique challenges of telecommunications operations, BSS/OSS systems, and cloud-native application development.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale telecommunications software projects in AWS cloud environments Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with executive stakeholders and technical architects Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocation strategies, and risk mitigation frameworks for complex, multi-year initiatives Drive Agile/SAFe methodologies across distributed teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution Manage project portfolios involving BSS/OSS transformations, customer experience platforms, network automation, and digital service enablement
Technical & Business Strategy Provide strategic input on cloud architecture decisions, microservices design, API integrations, and data migration strategies in AWS environments Evaluate technical feasibility, scalability, and cost implications of proposed solutions Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native development principles
Stakeholder Management & Communication Manage relationships with C-level executives, business unit leaders, vendor partners, and regulatory bodies Navigate and influence difficult stakeholders, resolving conflicts and building consensus across competing priorities Deliver executive-level presentations, business cases, and status reports that clearly articulate project value, risks, and strategic alignment Translate complex technical concepts (cloud architecture, API design, data pipelines, security frameworks) into accessible language for non-technical audiences Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and governance forums with diverse stakeholder groups
Risk & Quality Management Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, and business risks throughout project lifecycle Establish quality gates, testing strategies, and acceptance criteria for cloud-based deliverables Drive post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications Experience 10+ years in technical project management, with 5+ years specifically in telecommunications industry 5+ years managing cloud-based software development projects, preferably in AWS environments Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex projects ($5M+ budget) on time and within scope Demonstrated success managing difficult stakeholder environments and executive-level relationships Experience leading Agile/SAFe transformations in large enterprise settings
Technical Knowledge Awareness of AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch Software development lifecycle: Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps practices Telecommunications domain knowledge: Marketing catalog management and product lifecycle Customer experience platforms and digital channels Data management: ETL pipelines, data lakes, analytics platforms, real-time data processing Integration Technologies awareness: REST APIs, event streaming (Kafka), message queues, ESB/integration platforms
Required Skills Leadership & Communication Executive presence with ability to present to C-suite and board-level audiences Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including creation of executive summaries, business cases, and technical documentation Stakeholder influence and negotiation skills, particularly with resistant or challenging personalities Conflict resolution and consensus-building across diverse, competing interests Storytelling ability to make complex technical concepts accessible and compelling for non-technical audiences Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness for managing global, distributed teams

Desirable Qualifications NetCracker experience : Implementation, customization, or integration projects involving NetCracker's BSS/OSS suite (particularly Digital BSS, Revenue Management, or Service Delivery platforms) Advanced degrees : MBA, MS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field Additional platform experience : Salesforce, Amdocs, Oracle Communications, Ericsson BSS/OSS, Jira
Key Success Factors First 90 Days: Establish credibility with key stakeholders and executive sponsors Assess current project portfolio, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies Build relationships with technical teams and understand current cloud architecture Deliver quick wins that demonstrate value and build momentum
