Adjunct Faculty - Music Program Inside Higher Ed (Eastern Mennonite University) is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the Music program to teach undergraduate courses and lessons in person.

Qualifications:

Masters degree required for non-applied lesson courses. Professional industry experience can be considered for applied lesson instructors. Candidates may apply to teach more than one course.

Responsibilities:

Serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Music program teaching one or more in-person undergraduate music courses and/or lessons. Instructor of Music Theory: teach Music Theory I during spring 2026 semester. Course time: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 11:25am-12:15pm. Faculty are contracted per course each semester. Salary determined by education and experience.

Position Details:

Instructors must be able to teach in person. Travel reimbursement is available for instructors traveling from significant distances each way to campus.

Appointment Date:

Fall courses begin August 26, 2025. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
