An insurance company is looking for a Web Developer to join their team in White Plains, NY.
Compensation: $120k
The candidate will be working directly with experienced leads, developers, and business resources to deliver quality solutions. The candidate will be part of a team that will be migrating the business into the cloud.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.
Must be local; No Relocation

Responsibilities:
- Full stack developer designing, building, and maintaining maintain both frontend and backend components of web applications.
- Develop and integrate microservices to connect internal and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable web solutions tailored to insurance processes.
- Optimize web portal performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Leverage insurance domain knowledge to design solutions that meet industry-specific needs, including policy management, claims processing, and customer service workflows.
- Understand backend systems including databases and maintain the systems as necessary.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance customer interactions via the portal.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in web development, cloud technologies and AI.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in experience in web development and API integration.
- Strong knowledge of front-end development HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular).
- Strong knowledge and experience on Backend development: Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails.
- Experience in any programming language (Java,.Net, Python) and database skills (SQL, NoSQL).
- Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
- Good knowledge of Cloud platforms - AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with AI and machine learning services in AWS; Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Insurance domain knowledge is a plus, including familiarity with claims processing and customer service workflows.
