? Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Instructional Designer
to plan, design, and develop impactful learning experiences across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with business units to build instructional courses that align with learning objectives, enhance employee performance, and support organizational goals. This position requires strong eLearning development skills, visual design capabilities, and expertise in adult learning methodologies. You will work under minimal supervision and manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously.
? Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and design courses, curricula, and learning materials. Conduct needs assessments to deliver effective and tailored training solutions. Create and edit LMS learning activities, configure assignments, and generate custom LMS reports. Develop dynamic instructional content including eLearning modules, ILT/VILT materials, simulations, games, quizzes, and multimedia elements. Convert instructor-led training (ILT) into self-paced eLearning modules. Validate course content accuracy, usability, and overall learning experience. Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM to define content structure and development strategy. Develop content that effectively transfers knowledge and drives behavioral change. Evaluate the effectiveness of courses and learning programs using assessments, analytics, and feedback tools. Capture and translate processes and requirements into clear, learner-friendly materials. Support trainers with course evaluations and help integrate feedback into revised materials. Deliver presentations and training to internal groups, including leadership teams. Ensure course content is continuously refreshed to meet evolving business needs. Perform other related duties as needed. ? Required Qualifications
2-4 years of instructional design or curriculum development experience. Advanced knowledge of
ADDIE, SAM , and
adult learning theory . Proficient in
Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise . Experience converting ILT/VILT content to self-paced eLearning. Strong visual design and content development skills. Expertise with eLearning tools and multimedia applications (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, Lectora-preferred). Experience creating SCORM-compliant courses and working in LMS environments. Ability to research, organize, and present information clearly and concisely. Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess training effectiveness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, presentation tools, and data organization software. ? Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
Graphic design capabilities (Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva). Experience with interactive learning, gamification, simulations, or scenario-based training. Knowledge of accessibility standards (508 compliance). Experience working in large organizations or regulated industries. ? Top Skills (as highlighted by hiring team)
