THE OPPORTUNITY
The Librarian I incumbent plays a key role in developing and delivering a comprehensive range of technical and direct library services to the community. The Librarian I is the entry-level classification in the Librarian Occupational Seres. Responsibilities include:

The Librarian I incumbent will be expected to independently manage programs, projects, and technical assignments. Responsibilities include providing training to paraprofessional, clerical, and lead staff within their area of specialty, acting as the "librarian in charge" in the absence of the Branch Manager, and demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, skilled in staff training, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of customer service.
Job Duties for Librarian I:
OC Public Libraries may require employees to work weekends, evenings and rotate to various locations.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
