Email Marketing Manager (Contract, 40 hours/week)

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead our email campaign and newsletter operations across customer and prospect segments. This long-term contract role requires strong project management, technical email skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled in Marketo, and comfortable executing end-to-end email workflows with precision and urgency.
Key Responsibilities
Build, QA, and deploy email campaigns and newsletters across prospect and customer programs.
Coordinate with Design, Campaigns, and Analytics teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Manage the email calendar, key milestones, and cross-functional communication.
Create and refine email assets, including basic HTML/CSS editing and troubleshooting.
Handle segmentation, list pulls, and targeting accuracy for all sends.
Track and report on performance metrics including opens, clicks, and conversions.
Conduct A/B tests and recommend data-driven optimization strategies.
Maintain compliance with email regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
Support lifecycle, onboarding, or nurture program development as capacity allows.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
Marketo experience is required.
Proficiency with modern marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, Braze, Inflection, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to build, test, QA, and deploy emails end-to-end.
Functional HTML/CSS knowledge to edit and troubleshoot email code.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage calendars, competing deadlines, and multiple workflows.
Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.
Analytical skills with experience interpreting email performance reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or collaborating on email templates using Figma.
Knowledge of email deliverability, accessibility requirements, and best practices.
Exposure to lifecycle or nurture program strategy and execution.
