What Will You Do? The Marketing and Communication Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing, branding, and communication initiatives that enhance the organization’s visibility, drive growth, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. This role oversees all internal and external communication efforts, manages brand strategy, and ensures messaging consistency across all channels.

How Will You Do It? Strategic Planning

Develop and lead the organization’s overall marketing and communication strategy.

Align marketing and communication goals with broader organizational objectives.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform planning and positioning.

Brand Management

Oversee brand consistency across all materials, platforms, and communications.

Manage and evolve the organization’s visual identity, voice, and messaging.

Digital Marketing & Communications

Lead digital strategy, including social media, website management, SEO/SEM, and email campaigns.

Ensure content is optimized for engagement and aligned with brand tone and objectives.

Evaluate performance metrics and report on campaign effectiveness.

Public Relations & Media

Serve as the primary contact for media relations and public statements.

Prepare press releases, speeches, and media kits.

Foster relationships with media outlets, partners, and influencers.

Lead and develop a high‑performing marketing and communications team.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Manage vendor and agency relationships.

Budget Management

Develop and oversee the marketing and communications budget.

Track spending and ensure cost‑effective marketing strategies.

Preferred Skills

Graphic design or multimedia production experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Education – A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations or related field. (Master’s preferred)

Experience – It is strongly preferred that the Marketing & Communication Director has 8+ years of experience in marketing, communication, or public relations, with at least in a leadership role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – The Marketing & Communication Director should have strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and managerial skills. They should have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, strong knowledge of digital tools, analytics, and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS, CRM systems), experience managing teams and budgets, strong project management and organizational skills.
