Collaborates with Child Life Program. Provides creative arts therapy for both individuals and groups of children. Develops and implements a creative arts therapy program. Evaluates creative arts therapy program on a regular basis. Provides therapeutic support for pediatric patients during identified stress points such as medical distress, end of life. Collaborates with other staff by sharing information regarding planning of treatment and follow‑up. Procures creative arts supplies. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (e.g., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies. AHCH Specific Job Functions (List in order of importance):

Provides a comprehensive assessment of patient's psychosocial needs and develops treatment plans and treatment plan reviews based on findings and according to department policy; provides effective treatment to patients, whether assessment or therapy, and shares and interprets information to staff, families, and/or other approved agencies. Completes written reports in a timely fashion as required.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Appropriate education in creative arts therapy from an accredited creative arts therapy program. Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred

Master’s degree. Licenses And Certifications Required

Minimum rate of $72,072.00 annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
