Main Activities and Responsibilities The Broadcast Operations role is a critical part of the FIFA World Cup 26™ delivery, responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and operational management of all broadcast operations and non‑technical services at assigned stadiums across all host cities. The main responsibilities include:
Planning & Coordination
Assist in the planning and implementation of all broadcast facilities and services at the stadium, in alignment with FIFA's broadcast, production, and technical requirements.
Coordinate closely with FIFA functional areas, stadium management, and the Host Broadcaster to integrate stadium operations, construction timelines, logistics, and service planning with broadcast needs.
Support the Broadcast Operations Stadium Manager in coordinating the stadium broadcast team, ensuring smooth communication, structured workflows, and unified planning.
Facilitate the delivery and oversight of all broadcast operations at the venue during preparation and tournament phases.
Operational Management
Support the progress of broadcast infrastructure implementation, proactively identifying risks, issues, and operational dependencies.
Escalate urgent matters promptly to ensure continuous operational readiness.
Facilitate compliance with all broadcast infrastructure requirements, including:
Commentary positions
Camera platforms
Broadcast compound & parking
Cable routes and connectivity points
Mixed zone and flash interview areas
Coordinate the implementation of non‑technical broadcast services such as security, cleaning, waste management, signage, and accessibility services.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Support on‑site broadcast teams by ensuring effective coordination, clear task allocation, and collaborative workflows.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with FIFA departments, Host Broadcaster representatives, stadium authorities, and local operational partners.
Represent FIFA Broadcast Operations at venue‑level meetings, briefings, and coordination sessions when the Broadcast Operations Stadium Manager is unavailable.
Promote problem‑solving, timely communication, and consistent delivery of services across all broadcast stakeholders.
Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation
Assist in preparing detailed planning reports, operational updates, and progress summaries throughout preparation phases.
Support the creation and delivery of reports to Broadcast HQ during the tournament, including daily status updates on stadium broadcast operations.
Contribute to post‑event assessments, identifying successes, lessons learned, and process improvements for future tournaments.
Support the monitoring of sustainability, accessibility, safety, and compliance measures across all broadcast operations.
Your Profile Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Operations, Media Production, Event Management, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent professional experience in broadcast operations, large‑scale event delivery, or venue/media coordination may be accepted.
Work Experience
Experience working in broadcast operations, live events, stadium operations, or major sporting events.
Strong understanding of broadcast infrastructure, production needs, commentary setups, and venue technical/non‑technical workflows.
Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced operational environment.
Previous work at large‑scale events, tournaments, or complex venue operations is an advantage.
Language
Fluent in English (required)
Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Additional language skills beneficial due to international broadcast teams.
Technology
Familiarity with broadcast systems, production workflows, and operational tools.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
Ability to use digital reporting platforms, operational dashboards, and venue‑level management tools.
