Position Overview

This Adjunct Faculty member will teach courses in Film Production, Editing (Avid and Final Cut), Cinematography, Screenwriting, Post Production (Photoshop and Aftereffects), and Production Management. Courses are taught for both Associate and Bachelor degree courses.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • MFA or Masters degree in Film, Television, Radio, Digital Production, or related field (preferred) or Masters degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Film, Television, Radio, Digital Production, or related field
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
  • Willing to work flexible schedule and assignments which may include travel to other campuses and/or outreach centers

  • MFA degree preferred
