Wake Up News Anchor page is loaded## Wake Up News Anchorlocations: NY, Buffalotime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-39372We’re looking for a dynamic storyteller to join our team as a Wakeup News Anchor-someone who can deliver trusted, compelling news across all platforms and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.**What You’ll Do*** Present news and content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms with clarity and authenticity.* Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and production quality.* Write and deliver stories that are accurate, concise, and engaging.* Collaborate with producers and team members to shape impactful newscasts.* Contribute to writing, editing, research, and content development.* Report from the field and conduct interviews as assigned.* Respond quickly to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.* Represent the station at community events and promotional activities.* Engage audiences through involvement in WIVB+ and creation of social media videos to expand reach and brand presence.* Take on special projects and additional duties as needed.* Salary - $70,000 to $80,000**What We’re Looking For*** Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field (or equivalent experience).* Minimum 5 years of experience in news reporting or anchoring.* Exceptional on-air presence and strong communication skills-comfortable ad-libbing when needed.* Excellent news judgment and deep knowledge of local, national, and global issues.* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire team members.* Skilled in multitasking, meeting deadlines, and thriving under pressure.* Tech-savvy with proficiency in newsroom systems and digital tools.* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and breaking news situations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
