Akkodis group is hiring: Product Designer Studio Designer in Dearborn

Akkodis is seeking a Product Designer Studio Designer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and coordinating annual interior and exterior color and trim programs, ensuring alignment with design trends and brand standards.

Rate Range: $32/hour to $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Product Designer Studio Designer job responsibilities include:

• Create, coordinate, and recommend annual interior and exterior color and trim programs aligned with brand and market trends.
• Conduct trend forecasting and research to develop innovative color and material strategies for future products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and marketing to ensure cohesive execution of CMF (Color, Material, Finish) strategies.
• Develop and present design concepts and strategies using tools like Adobe Suite, VRED, and 3D visualization software.
• Maintain and update color and material documentation ensuring accuracy and consistency across projects.
• Support prototype builds and property development for color and material samples, ensuring quality and feasibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, Color and Material Design, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 4 years of color and materials design experience.
• Strong understanding of color theory (hue, value, chroma) and trend forecasting, with proficiency in Adobe Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) and 3D visualization software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to present design strategies and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $34.00 per hour
